Be positive - sponsor a place
One very positive and personal way to support our places in riding and animal therapy is to sponsor a place on an annual basis to provide the opportunity for a disabled or disadvantaged child to participate in our programme with no cost to themselves.
The provision of the therapy sessions with horses is very costly as the care of the horses on an ongoing basis is by its very nature expensive.
We have lots of animals and to deliver a weekly programme to an individual child even at a subsidised rate is in the region of £500 per year.
Corporate sponsorship of these places is therefore vital to ensure the charity has a regular source of income to support the programme.
By contributing £500, individuals or companies can support one of the places offered weekly to the children and enable them to have a years programme without the financial burden being placed on parents or carers who are generally reliant on supported income.
This can be done to publicly acknowledge a companies ‘Care in the Community’ objectives or can be done anonymously if preferred. It can be the subject of a fundraising event or a pledge from employees via payroll giving or from a charity support budget. |
